Catherine about Carrillo, Leo

Leo Carrillo was my great-grandmother's brother. My great-grandmother was Francisca Atala CARRILLO. The story goes that Uncle Leo once or twice stopped off at his great-nephew's house (my father) on his way to or from Santa Monica and his ranch. According to my mother, my twin sister and I both took our first steps in front of him. Perhaps we were showing off. I do have a vague memory of seeing him in a parade on his horse. Since Uncle Leo passed in 1961, my siblings and I knew his youngest brother and wife, Uncle Ottie & Aunt Bessie, as well as his sister-in-law Aunt Agnes much more. Ottie Carrillo was a very sweet man who swam daily in the Pacific Ocean until he was 80 years old. Many people claim relationship to Leo Carrillo. Just so you know, all Carrillos are related, so I say hello to all of my cousins out there.
