Yes she more than deserves her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She was named as entertainer of the century by Billboard Magazine. She has sold over 100 million albums as a singer and she was nominated for an Oscar, Best Actress in "Lady Sings the Blues". Many critics felt she should've won the Oscar over Liza Minilli, but politics evidently resulted in Liza Minelli winning this Oscar in 1972. Before going solo, she was the lead singer of the Supremes in the 60's when they had more hits than the Beatles. The Supremes were awarded a star on the Walk of Fame as well.
