My mother, Priscilla, worked a short while at KMPC Los Angeles as an assistant record librarian, sometime in the mid-late 1940s. She met some great people there, including Bill Leyden. They remained friends throughout the 1950s. It’s a bit fuzzy now, but my mom took me to NBC to see a taping of “It Could Be You” once, and got to meet Bill after the show. I believe it was after he lost one eye to a hunting/gun accident. My mom always spoke highly of Bill and I think he made a big impression on her because she went on to produce a couple local LA TV shows after KMPC. He was a great guy with lots of charisma.
