Been a fan since I was very young in the early/mid 70s. This lovely man brought a presence and air to every moment he was on the screen. Bones' relationship with Kirk and Spock was executed perfect and extremely well written. It was a real pleasure to watch the Original Star Trek series over and over plus the 6 movies he starred alongside his fellow crewmembers, all of which he interacted with. Much to my delight, it was a joy to see a 137 year old Admiral McCoy on the Enterprise D in Star Trek The Next Generation's pilot episode, Encounter At Farpoint being escorted to the shuttlebay giving Data the lowdown on why he does not want his atoms scattered all over space! Sadly missed, never to be replaced
