Yes, I met Tex several times. Seen him in person about 50 times. Have an 8x10 picture of Tex and i onwall at my computer. Picture taken at Sunnybrook Ballroom in Pottstown, Pa. Talked with Tex many, many times and have all kinds of autographed pictures of bandmembers and singers inc. Eydie Gorme. Tex was quite the man, always willing to chat with you. I'll never forget him and still play his music almost every day, plus they play his music on Syrius Radio every day. I did not know he had a star in Hollywood. Without the music of Tex Beneke and other big bands and singers like Ella Fitzgerald and Mel Torme I'd be lost.
