Don Harris about Peerce, Jan

My Mother, Bella Samilowitz, dated Pincus Perlmuth, aka Jan Peerce, while in high school, when he wore glasses and played the violin, but she didn't think he would amount to much, so she stopped dating him.
She was born in 1905 and died in 1987. In 1947 my father Barney Harris left the Scheafer pen company and open his own pen repair shop in Manhattan and one of his best clients was Arturo Toscanini and at one time brought Jan Peerce with him to get a pen repaired. My ad did not known the history of my mother with Jan Peerce at the time. I guess I could have been Jan Peerce's son if my Mother traveled a different road.
