.I did meet Mildred when her sister died. My mothers was adapted by Mildreds sister, GIGI (Bonnie)Horz. Bonnie lived with us when I was a girl about 7 or 8. I was named after her sister ..We use to take trips to see Walter in Maryland..My mother, Patricia Susan Horz was Bonnie's adapted daughter, or so we think. My mother was apparently adapted by Mildred's sister from the NY Foundling orphanage around 1935 with another baby. Ironically this was the same year that Mildred lost a daughter. There is also a shocking resemblence. We took Mildred's sister in to take care of her when she was ill. Eventually Bonnie did die, that is when I met Mildred. She drove up to the funeral in an old vocswagon bug. I did establish a relationship with Mildred as I was a young girl around the early 70's. I would love to reach someone in her family maybe Linda Mcguire or anyone. I never got to meet anyone else ion that side of my family.. My mother died at 56 the year following Mildred death. My mother tried to reach out to Mildred after her sister died to see if she knew more about who she was because apparently the records room had burnt down in the NY New Foundling Orphanage so she could not get any information about herself. My mother joined Mildred and Bonnie and got the answers she wanted.....My family and I still do not have answers or family for that matter. I personally have struggled with this all my life particularly after my mothers passing. I know now that we won't get answers however I would love to connect with more family. I don't know if there is more of a connection than we may know, however it would be interesting to see if anyone knows anything more.
